Taking place on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the Towers Crescent Conference Center in Vienna, Virginia, the forum will focus on the infrastructure, energy, permitting, financing and policy challenges accompanying the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence.

As AI moves into large-scale deployment, access to reliable power, data center capacity, grid infrastructure, and streamlined permitting is becoming increasingly important to America's competitiveness. Powering the AI Decade will bring together leaders from government, industry, and capital to discuss these challenges and the policy priorities that will influence AI infrastructure development in the years ahead.

The event will feature Nancy Novak, Chief Innovation Officer, Compass Datacenters; Ted Trabue, Interim Chairman, Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia; Rep. Suhas Subramanyam, U.S. Representative, Virginia’s 10th District; Rep. James Walkinshaw, U.S. Representative, Virginia’s 11th District; Del. John McAuliff, Delegate, Virginia House of Delegates, 30th District; Michael R. Turner, Vice Chair and Ashburn District Supervisor, Loudoun County Board of Supervisors; and Stephen D. Hener, Senior Fellow for Energy & the Environment, Thomas Jefferson Institute. The speakers will bring perspectives spanning data center development, energy regulation, federal and state policy, infrastructure financing and local government.

The program will include the keynote “America’s Digital Infrastructure at an Inflection Point,” followed by conversations addressing the challenges of building AI infrastructure, securing power, navigating permitting, financing large-scale development and understanding public sentiment around AI infrastructure projects. The event will conclude with “AI on the Ballot: What the Public Is Telling Washington,” a nonpartisan discussion examining public opinion and its implications for the policy agenda.

“AI policy can no longer be separated from infrastructure and energy policy,” said Sanjay Puri, Founder & Chairman, Knowledge Networks. “The next decade of AI will depend not only on technological breakthroughs, but on our ability to build the physical infrastructure, secure reliable power and establish the policy frameworks needed to support that growth. Powering the AI Decade brings together the leaders working on these issues for a practical conversation about what comes next.”

The forum is designed for senior decision-makers across government and regulation, technology and data centers, energy and utilities, investment and capital, infrastructure, and professional services.
